About Chef Tony & Vamilia
Food has never just been a business for me — it has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. My passion for cooking was built over a lifetime of feeding friends, family, and the people around me. Some of my best memories were created around a table filled with laughter, stories, good wine, and incredible food made with heart.
Over the years, that passion evolved into what became Vamos Portuguese Restaurant and with a beautiful collaboration with Anthony, we are now Vamilia Portuguese Restaurant & Takeaway — not just restaurants, but spaces where people could feel at home.
The name “Vamilia” comes from the words Vamos and Familia because that is exactly what this journey has become. Many of our guests have supported me for years, and somewhere along the way they stopped feeling like customers and became family.
Every sauce, every recipe, every plate that leaves the kitchen carries a piece of that passion. From traditional Portuguese flavours to bold comfort food made for sharing, my goal has always been simple: create food that brings people together and makes them feel welcome, appreciated, and cared for.
